Skinner named LSWA's Offensive Player of the Year

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Oberlin running back Cedric Skinner broke the Louisiana single season rushing record earlier this year and now has been named as the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Offensive Player of the Year in 1A.

Skinner was joined on the LSWA 1st Team All-State by his teammates Devonte Limbrick and Michael Ryder, and Basile tight end Nick Bertrand.

Area honorable mentions for All-State were Elton's Ossie Lavan, Hamilton Christian's Jimmy Beck and Cameron Meyer, and Skinner's backfield mate at Oberlin, Ronkeith Alfred.
