1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup uncooked rice
2 tablespoons minced onion
1 teaspoon salt
pepper to taste
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce, or
1(10-ounce) can tomato soup
1 cup water
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine the ground beef, rice, onion, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix well. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls while wearing plastic gloves. Arrange the meatballs in a single layer in a baking dish.
Step 2: Combine the tomato sauce, water and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl and mix well. Pour the mixture evenly over the meatballs.
Step 3: Cover the baking dish with foil. Use an oven mitt to place the baking dish in the oven. Bake the meatballs for 1 hour. Remove baking dish from the oven using an oven mitt.

It was selected for the new cookbook, "In the Kitchen with Kids," which is available at www.ajli.org.
