Baton Rouge fugitive captured in Jennings

JENNINGS, LA (KPLC) – A man wanted for violent crimes in Baton Rouge was captured Tuesday in Jennings after a long manhunt.

20-year-old Demetrick Taylor was wanted for two counts of attempted first degree murder, simple robbery, and simple battery.

Back on December 2nd, The U.S. Marshals got a tip that Taylor was hiding out in the Jennings area. After an extensive search Taylor was captured on Tuesday, running from authorities in a field near Touchet Road.

Taylor was extradited back to Baton Rouge.
