Acadia Parish, LA (KPLC) - The Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office says a 30-year-old Crowley man is arrested on Attempted 1st Degree Murder, Child Endangerment, and OWI charges, after a fight with his estranged wife and her son at the Pontoon Bridge on Hwy 91.

After a brief investigation Monday around 4 p.m., deputies learned that Monty Deville, of Crowley, had physically assaulted his estranged wife and 4-year-old son.

Deputies also say, during the altercation, Deville tried to push the vehicle his estranged wife and son were in into Bayou Plaquemine by ramming his vehicle into hers. The 28-year-old victim and her son were transported to American Legion Hospital where they were treated and released.

Deville was transported to the Acadia Parish Jail where he is also charged with two counts of domestic battery with a child endangerment.  District Judge Kristian Earles set bond on Deville at $475,000. State Police charged Deville with OWI.
