LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The McNeese State Cowboys would go up 21-0 in the first half over the Nicholls State Colonels and win their 2010 Homecoming game by a score of 24-14.
The Pokes scored first as Jacob Bower score on an eight yard quarterback draw. They would later come back down and Champlain Babin would punch it in to make it 14-0.
Then in the second quarter, Bower would hit tight end Corday Clark from one yard out and MSU increased their lead, 21-0.
The Cowboys had 404 yards of total offense, including 171 yards on the ground from running back Andre Anderson, which was a career high.
With Stephen F. Austin and Sam Houston State losing today, the Pokes are now tied in 1st place with SFA and Northwestern State.
Next up for McNeese, the Sam Houston State Bearkats.
