LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The search for Lakisha Taylor has once again gone cold. Family members were hoping police would finally bring closure to this case, dating back over two years.

As detectives searched a wooded area off Bank Street in Lake Charles, family members of Lakisha Taylor waited nearby, hoping for some closure. While the search did not turn up anything, Lake Charles police said they will not be giving up.

"We'll turn over dirt, we'll crawl to the top of buildings. We'll do anything we can for our public to find this lady," said St. Mark Kraus with the Lake Charles Police Department.

Police have named Derrick Taylor, Lakisha's husband as a strong person of interest in this case. Derrick's family said there is no way he could have had anything to do with his wife's disappearance.

"I just think all the speculation, it just went too far this time. It went too far, and it has got to come to an end," said Deidra Taylor.
