New child safety device activated at Louisiana State Fair

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – The Louisiana State Fair means lots of food and fun, but it can easily get stressful if you find your child lost in the crowd.

But, with the help of a button and GPS technology, you can make sure you know where your kids are at all times.

Dorothy Long rented a GPS tracking device for her grandson Braxton.

"That's wonderful, wonderful," said Long. "Because he's a busy body. He loves running around seeing, so that would work out great."

Secura Trac puts Long's phone number into their system, and straps this small white tracker to her grandson's arm.

"If your child is lost or presses the s.o.s. button, you'll be able to quickly locate them, because it will send a text message or e-mail to your phone.

If they don't press the s.o.s. button, you can still track where they are and where they've been.

Just log on to the Secura Trac website, or call the booth during the fair.
