Two arrested in connection to murder of Jennings girl

ACADIA PARISH, LA (KPLC) - Two people have been charged in connection to the death of a 15-year-old Jennings girl whose body was found under the Mermentau Bridge on October 10.

Following an investigation, officials with Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office announced on Thursday that 19-year-old Kimberly Harris of Mermentau was arrested earlier this week and was charged with negligent homicide. Her bond was set at $50,000.

29-year-old David Lemoine Cretchen of Jennings was also charged with negligent homicide and two counts of intimidating a witness. A judge set his bond at $100,000.

The body of 15-year-old Kimberly Hollier of Jennings was found on Sunday, October 10. It was determined that alcohol was involved in her death.
