LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - After starting his first career game and performing well at times against the LSU Tigers, redshirt freshman Cody Straud has made the decision for who will start at quarterback for Saturday's game against Southeastern Louisiana a difficult task.
Jacob Bower, who started the first five games of the season, had to miss the LSU game with a concussion, and his status remains in question for the Southeastern game.
Head Coach Matt Viator says he'll have a better understanding of what Bower's status is, and who will get the start by this Thursday.
Regardless of who starts, Viator said both will see the field against the Lions if Bower is cleared to play.
Kickoff for the game is set for 6:00 in Hammond.
