Tyson Green, DPM, foot and ankle specialist with Center for Orthopaedics, has earned board certification in foot surgery from the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. In order to receive this recognition, Dr. Green had to present surgical cases for national peer review and pass rigorous written and oral exams testing his knowledge in his field of expertise.
Originally from Lafayette, Dr. Green received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Louisiana State University. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then completed a three-year residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Scott & White Memorial Hospital – University of Texas A&M Health Sciences Center in Temple, Texas. Dr. Green is a member if the American Podiatric Medical Association, the American Diabetes Association and a fellow in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He specializes in foot and ankle surgery, diabetic foot care, foot surgery, bunions, podiatric sports medicine, custom orthotics, hammertoes, heel pain, children's podiatry, arthritis, and sprains and fractures of the lower extremities. Dr. Green has been with Center for Orthopaedics since mid-2009 and he sees patients at the group's Lake Charles and Sulphur offices.
