BATON ROUGE, LA (KPLC) - Thousands of McNeese fans made the trip to Tiger Stadium to cheer on the Cowboys. On Saturday the Pokes took on the LSU Tigers for the first time ever.

While the Cowboys did not come out on top, many say the experience was worth the trip. As the stadium cleared MSU fans celebrated one of the biggest games in Cowboy history.

"This was awesome. What a great opportunity for our boys. In our book it was a win," said Gina Reed.

"We were so excited in the stands. We were just so glad to be here. It was a once in a life experience," said Anne Melville.

"The crowd was really loud. It was like nothing I had ever heard before," said Joshua Becnel.
