BATON ROUGE, LA (KPLC) - The McNeese State Cowboys gave LSU all they could handle during this came. The Pokes scored first to make the game 7-0, and were down 16-10 at half, but the Bayou Bengals would pick it up during second half to win this game 32-10.
McNees came out strong in the first half. In the first quarter, LSU's Jordan Jefferson was hit hard by MSU's Jace Peterson. Jordan fumbled on the play and Geremy Pilate recovered it. LSU would answer back with a Stevan Ridley touchdown to tie the game at 7.
The Pokes would then have to punt, but the ball would hit an LSU player on the leg and Ford Smesny recovered it for the Cowboys. A 23 yard field goal by Josh Lewis made it 10-7 McNeese.
Stevan Ridley would answer with a 10 yard rushing touchdown, then LSU would tackle Andre Anderson in the end zone for a safety to make it 16-10. LSU would take that score into the half and shut MSU out in the second half to win the game, 32-10.
