Part of West Prien Lake Road to be closed temporarily

The following is from the City of Lake Charles:

Both lanes of W. Prien Lake Rd., between Lake St. and the Contraband Bayou Bridge, will be temporarily closed to traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning on Wednesday, October 13, through Tuesday, October 19, in order for asphalt work to occur.  The affected location will reopen to two-way traffic each day at 5 p.m.

Suggested alternate routes include the following: eastbound traffic on Prien Lake Rd. can travel Holly Hill to Sale to Lake St, and westbound traffic on Prien Lake Rd. can travel I-210 to the Nelson Rd. exit or south on Lake St. to Sale Rd. and either exit off of Sale Rd. to Holly Hill Rd. or exit off of Sale Rd. to Nelson Rd.
