Funeral arrangements announced for Ashlea Richard

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Funeral arrangement were announced on Friday for the McNeese freshman who died from injuries received after she was hit by a car on Monday morning near campus.

19-year-old Ashlea Alexis Richard passed away on Tuesday at a local hospital.

Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday with a memorial service at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Sunday from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. and then at the church from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 10 at First Baptist Church of Welsh. Brother Tony Bourque will officiate.

Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
