McNeese takes care of Northwestern St. 24-7

NATCHITOCHES, LA (KPLC) - The McNeese Cowboys took advantage of some early Northwestern turnovers to win their conference opener 24-7.

Quarterback Jacob Bower had a monster game, going 19-25 for 233 yards, 1 touchdown and no interceptions.  Running back Marcus Wiltz also had a big game, with 15 carries for 51 yards and one rushing touchdown, and added 3 catches for 54 yards and one receiving touchdown.

Defensively, the Pokes forced 4 turnovers:3 interceptions and 1 fumble., and they allowed the Demons 267 yards in total offense.
