COUSHATTA, LA (KPLC) – State Police arrested a Coushatta Casino Resort employee for allegedly stealing more than $2,100 from the Allen Parish casino.
Keith Welch, 45, of Oakdale was charged with four counts of felony theft and two counts of misdemeanor theft. According to the arrest report, Welch is the kiosk drop team manager at the casino. The investigation was the result of a complaint made by the casino in reference to cash being missing from the kiosk machines located throughout the casino. Kiosk machines are used to obtain cash for tickets insert from slot machine play.
According to the Louisiana Secretary of State's website, Welch is a candidate for Allen Parish School Board District 3, and is currently on Saturday's ballot.
After being advised of his Miranda rights, Welch denied taking any of the cash.
