LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -Things just didn't go well for the Pokes as they were totally out played by Cal Poly losing 40-14.  After a slow 1st quarter, the Mustangs managed to get a field goal before the quarter ended to take a 3-0 lead.

McNeese would answer back.  After a huge pass reception by Bernardo Henry from Jacob Bower, Marcus Wiltz scored his first collegiate touchdown from two yards out to give McNeese a 7-3 lead.

But Cal Poly would go on to score 37 unanswered points in the 2nd and 3rd quarter to snap a 7 game road losing streak.

Next up for MSU will be their first conference game at Northwestern State in Natchitoches next Saturday.
