LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - A week after the discovery of four bodies in a Lake Charles trailer, the material witness in the case is set to appear in court Tuesday morning. Lee Williams is being held in the Calcasieu Correctional Center on a unrelated narcotics charge and material witness arrest warrant to the quadruple homicide.

Williams was arrested in Baton Rouge last Thursday after a standoff with police. Calcasieu District Attorney John DeRosier says Williams will return there Tuesday morning for a court appearance for two counts of attempted first degree murder stemming from the standoff. At the same time he'll have a right to counsel hearing at the Calcasieu jail.

"The hearing here will be conducted in his absence he will be appointed counsel on the narcotics charge that is currently pending and also on the material witness arrest warrant," explained DeRosier.

Meanwhile DeRosier says investigators are still questioning people and processing the evidence collected at the trailer where the four victims were found. Crystal Fruge, Kendrick LaVergne, Terry Banks, and Jessica Eugene were found dead Labor Day Monday in a trailer in the Fairview Mobile Estates on the corner of Tom Hebert Road and Highway 14. All were found in separate rooms and according to authorities suffered multiple acts of violence. Williams was last seen with the victims on Friday night and is believed to be a material witness in the case.

We'll keep you updated if any formal charges are filed.
