KINDER, LA (KPLC) - Both Kinder and Elton have a lot of experience back from last year's team and it showed.
Last season, the Kinder Yellow Jackets were able to surpass the Elton Indians 28-18. This year's game was just as exciting.
Elton scored first when Landon Carmon took the ball and practically went untouched into the end zone to make it 7-0. Kinder would strike back, Ke'Andre South carried the ball around the right side of the line to make the score 7-6 Kinder. Ensuing drive for the Indians, they try a screen pass, the ball gets tipped and ends in the hands of Kinder's Marshall Harmon for the interception. Five plays later, Kade Van Norman takes the end around, into the end zone for the touchdown. Jackets would get the two point conversion to go up 14-7.
In the 3rd Quarter, Landon Carmon would strike again for another touchdown, but the Indians missed the extra point to tie the game, 14-13 Kinder.
4th Quarter, Kinder quarterback Blake Trahan does a nice play action pass and finds Van Norman in the back of the end zone. Two point conversion good. 22-13 Yellow Jackets. They would score again to win the game 29-13.
