Lake Charles man arrested for burglary, theft

The following is a news release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office:

Lake Charles, LA – On Wednesday, August 18, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office responded to the burglary and theft of a Playstation 3 and a set of 4 mag wheels with tires from a mobile home in Lake Charles.  

During the investigation, the detective received information regarding the suspect and a description of the car from a witness.  
            
On Monday, August 30, further investigation led the detective to obtain a warrant for the arrest of George Slan, III, of Lake Charles.  

Slan was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with burglary and theft over $500.
            
The Playstation 3 has been recovered and will be returned to the owner.
            
Judge Robert Wyatt set his bond at $7,500.
            
CPSO Detective Dennis Miller is the lead investigator on this case.

    A Moss Bluff man died this evening after a vehicle accident, according to Sgt. James Anderson with Louisiana State Police. Investigations revealed a 2015 Honda Civic driven by Hannah Borill, 22, of Westlake, was traveling north on Luke Powers Road and stopped at the stop sign at La. 3059.
