As we approach the ninth anniversary of the September 11th attacks on New York's World Trade Center and the Pentagon, a group of firefighters and other first responders are headed toward Ground Zero to honor their fallen comrades.
36 of them recently ran through Southwest Louisiana, having already covered 3,000 miles since they started in California. They're doing it to honor the memories of those who lost their lives in 9/11. Not just the fire fighters and other first responders, but also for the occupants of the twin towers.
While on their run, they are raising money for various charities along the way. The group is not just American, there are runners from other countries as well.
