Rayne Police searching for murder, rape suspect

RAYNE, LA (KPLC) - A suspected murderer and rapist from Texas may have traveled through southwest Louisiana recently, and Rayne Police are wanting your help finding the man.

Anthony Wayne Oneil is wanted in Texas on murder and rape charges. He allegedly killed a man in Temple, Texas then traveled to Lorena, Texas where authorities say he broke into a home and raped a woman in front of her children.

According to the Rayne Police Department, Oneil stole the woman's white mini-van. That van was found abandoned in the parking lot of a grocery store in Rayne on Monday morning.

Oneil is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, you are asked not to approach him. If you have seen him, or you have any information about any friends or family of Oneil in the Rayne area, you are asked to contact the Rayne Police Department at 337-334-4215.
