One year since the death of Necole Guillory

LAKE ARTHUR, LA (KPLC) - It has been nearly a year since Necole Guillory was last seen, before becoming the latest victim in the eight mysterious deaths in Jeff Davis parish. On August 19, 2009, the body of 26 year old Necole Guillory was found off of  Interstate-10, near Egan, in Acadia parish.

Authorities from Acadia, Jeff Davis, and Calcasieu parish, as well as a forensics team from the FBI office in New Orleans worked the scene.

Guillory's mother had reported her missing to police only an hour before her body was found. When 7 News last spoke with Barbara Guillory, nearly two months after her daughter's body was found, she said her daughter seemed to know something was going to happen.

"She'd always tell us that she wouldn't live long, and she knew that. She wouldn't tell us nothing. But, she knew," said Necole Guillory's Mother, Barbara Guillory.

There have been no new cases in the deaths in Jeff Davis parish, and no arrests as of yet.

One local fraternity made sure some families in Southwest Louisiana had a fully cooked meal to enjoy for Christmas. "We have turkeys and hams, but it's enough food in the box to feed a family of eight," said  Mark Gallashaw, president of Kappa Alpha Psi's Lake Charles Alumni Chapter. Thirty-five boxes of cooked meals are getting ready to be delivered to families across Southwest Louisiana.
