Authorities bust meth lab in south Lake Charles

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Authorities responded to a home on Friday, August 6 and arrested a man after finding an active meth lab on the property.

Detectives with the Combined Anti-Drug Task Force responded to the home on Tallow Road in Lake Charles in reference to a possible meth lab.

A search warrant was obtained. An active lab was found outside the house, and a meth lab was also found inside the house, along with chemicals used to produce meth.

25-year-old Justin Savoy was home at the time of the search. He was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center, charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and creation/operation of a clandestine lab.

A judge set his bond at $205,000.
