LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - There are several road construction projects going on throughout the city of Lake Charles.

Although the roads are getting some needed repairs, the construction is causing some traffic problems.

Some of the current locations include Broad Street from Enterprise to I-210, Hodges Street from 7th Street to Railroad Avenue, Common Street from South of McNeese to past the Lake Charles Regional Airport, and Lake Street at the Prien Lake Road intersection.

Also, East McNeese Street is being extended from Highway 14 to Highway 397.  Workers say this project could be finished by the end of the year.

Also, on August 16, Highway 14 from McNeese Street to Tom Hebert Road will be re-paved.  Traffic will be allowed to pass through, but delays are expected.
