A native of Chicago, Illinois and graduate of Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Dr. McKinney is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine and completed her residency at Chicago's Cook County Hospital prior to joining the staff at Roseland Community Hospital and St. James Community Hospital in Chicago. She was also on the staff of Martin General Hospital in Williamston, North Carolina immediately prior to moving to Lake Charles.
Before entering medical school, Dr. McKinney worked as a chemist for Amoco Oil Company in Naperville, Illinois.
Dr. McKinney provides women comprehensive treatment and preventive care for acute and chronic conditions, pregnancy and family planning, menopause, urinary tract disorders and operative gynecology, including minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery.
