LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) –The Swashbucklers run at a fourth consecutive title ended in a 68-13 rout by the Columbus Lions.
The Lions snapped the defending champions' streak, as they captured their first indoor football title with the victory. After the Lions jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead in the first quarter, costly mistakes by the Bucs lead them to have to overcome a 27 point halftime deficit.
The Bucs were given no room to breathe on both sides of the ball. Offensively they were held to just 98 yards, as the Lions forced five turnovers, and racked up six sacks. Defensively the Bucs allowed 274 yards of total offense.
The Swashbucklers ended the 2010 season with 6-7 record.
