Methodist Children's Home set to open in fall

HWY 27, LA (KPLC) - The Methodist Children's Home of SWLA has been under construction for over a year, and is looking to be completed by October of this year.

The home is going to house 32 adolescents who have been abused and/or neglected, by giving them a home, along with education and a new feeling about life.

The children will range from age 11 to 17.

The home wants to give a special thanks to Sasol North America, who presented home leaders with a 5 thousand dollar donation today, to help with further construction needs.

A grand opening is set for October 17, and they will be admitting students at the beginning of 2011.
