LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - We live in a technical world, and to keep up with the latest advances,  Lake Area students are brushing up on their skills at this summer's "iCamp".

More than a hundred third through eighth graders are taking part in the camp.  Young minds are getting hands on experience using the iPod nano, creating music CD's to downloading the latest games.  Organizers say it's essential for students to stay in touch with technology.

Tiffany Broussard, one of the teachers, says, "based upon the things that are within the iTunes library from music to photos and videos, those things will be available through the activities that we do have at camp."

The camp started on Monday and lasts through Friday.  If you want to sign up your child for next year's camp, you can call 217-4120.
