Man arrested after shooting on Flounder Drive in Lake Charles

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - A Lake Charles man is behind bars after supposedly shooting another man.

Calcasieu Sheriff's Deputies responded to a call of shots fired around 9:30 this morning.

They say that 30-year-old Gewan Pappillion drove up to a home on Flounder Drive in south Lake Charles, got out of his car and began firing a gun at the victim who was in the front yard.

Pappillion allegedly fired a round of six shots, with one bullet hitting the victim in the leg and another bullet hitting a home where an adult and four children were inside.

Pappillion has been charged with one count of attempted second degree murder and five counts of aggravated battery.

    The search for the suspect in last Friday's homicide in Topsy has been found. Authorities in Beaumont, Texas spotted a vehicle suspected to be driven by the suspect, David Wade Clark. After being spotted, Clark lead Jefferson Country Sheriff's deputies on a pursuit through a neighborhood. Clark was traveling with a man named Michael Castille from Lake Charles, who had been helping Clark in his travels.
