LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Marcus Anderson is a multiple offender with a violent past and Judge Mike Canaday has made sure the convicted rapist will spend most of his life in prison.

Anderson was recently convicted of forcible rape of two women-- one of whom was mentally challenged.

Today Anderson was sentenced to 35 years in prison on each count of rape, totaling 70 years.

One of the victims had a relative read a statement to the court, saying she suffers from nightmares and depression, and urging that he never be allowed a moment of freedom.

The rape victim told the court, "No amount of time could change his (Anderson's) cruel, sadistic behavior."

Anderson choked each victim and caused both physical and psychological trauma.
