SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Shreveport police say officers investigating a 911 call to report an apparent beating in a taxi cab found the owner of the cab, stabbed to death.
Sgt. Bill Goodin says he's been identified as 51-year-old Timothy Guyton of Shreveport, and police have an arrest warrant for 22-year-old Michael Scott, who may be living on the streets.
Goodin says the warrant accuses Scott of first degree murder.
He says that about 2:45 a.m. Monday, a caller told dispatchers that it looked as if someone was being beaten inside a taxi cab. Goodin says officers found Guyton, who appeared to have been stabbed multiple times.
Goodin says detectives have interviewed potential witnesses and are working to identify and arrest whoever did it.
