Two rescued after hit & run at apartment complex

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - A hit and run leaves a Lake Charles apartment complex in shambles. It happened at the Sunlight Manor Apartments off Winterhaulter Street. Damage included a stairwell and part of one of the buildings. According to Lake Charles Police at least two residents needed to be rescued. We're told no one was injured. No word on the description of the suspect vehicle at this time.

    It's not unusual to hear complaints about the U.S. Postal Service in our area. The latest comes from a neighborhood off Nelson Road where residents say they no longer get daily delivery. "Whether snow, sleet or rain or whatever it   should be delivered," said Terry Bellard, who lives at Smith Village mobile home community. Residents say their mail is no longer delivered regularly.
