LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - It's a game McNeese State football fans look forward to every year: The Cowboys versus the Demons.

McNeese State's showdown with Northwestern State is the only scheduled MSU game the Southland Conference will broadcast on their television network.

That showdown will be played on Saturday, October 2nd in Natchitoches, LA.  It will also be MSU's Southland Conference opener.

There is the possibility McNeese State's showdown against Central Arkansas might be on the SLC TV Network as well.  That game is scheduled for Saturday, November 20th in Conway, AR.  MSU and UCA could be selected as the network's wild card game that weekend.  McNeese and Central Arkansas' annual showdown has been selected two years in a row as the wild card game by the Southland Conference.
