Fire destroys storage building

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - At 9:22 a.m. the Lake Charles Fire Department responded to a storage building fire located at 2028 Willowick St. Within minutes a total of 4 fire stations responded to the scene.

According to Lake Charles Fire Department Captain Jeremy LeBlanc there was heavy smoke and flames coming out of the structure as the first arriving fire crews began to extinguish the blaze.

The LCPD, Entergy, and Acadian Ambulance were called out to this incident. There are no injuries to report and currently this fire scene is under investigation by the Lake Charles Fire Prevention Bureau.
