LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -  46-year-old Tony Johness of Lake Charles is dead today after a vehicle crash on Interstate 10.

State Troopers responded to the crash around 9:28 on the I-10 east bound off ramp to I-210 west bound.

They say that Johness lost control and swerved into an aluminum guardrail before overturning.

He wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from his 1988 Chevrolet pickup.

A passenger in his vehicle, identified as 48-year-old Walter Johness, received only minor injuries and was treated at Memorial Hospital.

Investigators suspect alcohol was involved, but toxicology tests are pending.
