$260-million awarded for a Lake Charles project

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Leucadia Energy, LLC has been awarded $260-million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act as part of a project to capture and store carbon emissions. The plan is to capture, and store underground, 4.5-million tons of CO2 per year from a new methanol plant in Lake Charles.
