LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Thanks to the generosity of Southwest Louisiana, sick children will continue to get the best medical care available. The 2010 KPLC Christus St. Patrick Hospital Children's Miracle Network Telecast wrapped up its 23rd year.

Through donations from callers and corporate sponsors CMN will be able to provide pediatric medical care to children in need.

"We closed our telecast with 311-thousand dollars, but the phones were still ringing and so we're going to report back next week and let everyone know. But we met our goals and we're very pleased and very thankful to all of the sponsors and all the donors that called in," said Anna Catherine Viator, with Christus St. Patrick CMN.

All of the money raised stays in Southwest Louisiana to help local kids. And if you would still like to make a donation you can contact their office at 430-5353.
