LAKE CHARLES, La. — L'Auberge du Lac Casino Resort, a luxury Texas Hill Country-themed resort in Lake Charles, Louisiana announces the promotion of Crystal Miller to the position of public relations and communications manager.
Miller joined L'Auberge in 2008 as recognition manager. In that role, she handled all daily internal communications for the 242-acre resort; produced Lagniappe Living, the properties in-house team member magazine; organized employee recognition functions such as the monthly Five Star awards luncheon and Employee of the Year events; assisted with responsible gaming education initiatives; and implemented the annual Toys For Tots employee toy drive.
In her new role, Miller will continue to oversee internal communications while expanding her participation in public relations efforts, including implementation of the highly successful L'Auberge Cares community outreach program. She will work closely with the director of community and public relations to ensure an overall positive company image and assist with increasing media and consumer exposure to L'Auberge as a gaming resort destination of choice.
Prior to joining L'Auberge, Miller was the promotions director for KVHP-TV in Lake Charles where she planned and hosted events and contests for the station, supervised promotions and acted as a community representative for the Fox affiliate. She further strengthened her communications skills as a morning show co-host at KZWA-FM where she conducted on-air interviews, delivered entertainment news, conducted voice-overs and community remote broadcasts and organized the station's community calendar.
Miller, a native of Lake Charles, has strong community ties as a board member for the Ethel Precht HOPE Breast Cancer Foundation and the Literacy Council of Southwest Louisiana. She is a member of the Ad and Press Club of Southwest Louisiana, the Black Heritage Foundation Festival Committee and the United Way Communications Committee.

Miller is a graduate of Alfred M. Barbe High School and McNeese State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts with a specialization in speech. She lives in Lake Charles and is engaged to married.
