FENTON, LA (KPLC-TV) - Richard A. Martin, 56,  of Orange, Texas, died after the plane he was piloting crashed in the median of Highway 165 three miles south of Fenton Saturday morning.

Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff Ricky Edwards says an ultralight plane flew into some power lines before crashing.

Witnesses described seeing the plane flying low, making circular motions around 8:30A.M.

An Acadian ambulance and medical helicopter were called to the scene, however they were not needed since the pilot died on impact.

The FAA is not investigating the incident since this particular type of plane is considered experimental.
