Mississippi murder suspect captured in DeQuincy

DEQUINCY, LA (KPLC) - A Mississippi murder suspect was captured in DeQuincy Monday afternoon.

The Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Department arrested 21-year-old Douglas Wayne Jones of Oxford, Mississippi. Investigators say Jones is wanted for murder and sexual battery in Lafayette County, Mississippi.

The sheriff's office, along with the U.S. Marshall's service, received a tip of Jones' location and arrested him without incident.

Jones is currently being held without bond at the Beauregard Parish Jail.
