City of Lake Charles looking to sell former Sears property

The following is a news release from the City of Lake Charles:

On Friday, May 7, the City of Lake Charles initiated the process for the sale of the property which is the former location of the Sears retail facility.

Packets of information – including a letter to realtors signed by Mayor Roach, pictures and maps – have been sent to the local brokers registered with the Southwest Louisiana Association of Realtors.  All interested parties may contact any local broker or access the information by contacting the City.  The solicitation has been posted on the City's Web site and can be found under Downtown/Lakefront Development.

The property, located at 600 Ryan St., is a +/- 3.67 acre tract.
