LSU baseball upset by UNO

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The defending national champions' losing streak continues.  

The University of New Orleans scored four runs in the final two innings and upset the #15 LSU Tigers, 7-4.  The game was played at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge, LA.

Now Paul Mainieri's squad has lost four in a row after being swept by Ole Miss in their previous series.

The Privateers scored two runs in the eighth and two more in the ninth to take the lead.  Roddarick Jones had a huge game for UNO.  He went 3-4 with three RBI's.

UNO came into this matchup losers of nine-straight.

Now the Tigers will go on the road to play the nationally-ranked Florida Gators.  Those games will be played April 30th through May 2nd.
