SULPHUR, LA (KPLC) - The Sulphur Police Department has arrested two people in connection to a meth lab they discovered in a home on Texas Street on Thursday afternoon.

Police say they received several complaints about the home they went to investigate.

Alicia Kaye Broussard, 28, and Jason Cory Ardoin, 36, were both arrested at the home and charged with possession and intent to distribute CDS Schedule II type drugs, and with operating a clandestine lab.

Bond has been set at $30,000 for each suspect.

Police said they had received several complaints about the house and went to investigate. The officers got permission to search the home, and say they found the meth lab.

Neighbors were evacuated while crews cleaned up the potentially dangerous chemicals.
