CPSO attempting to ID armed robber of convenience store

The following is a news release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office:

Lake Charles, LA – At approximately 10:00 p.m. last night, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office responded to an armed robbery at Circle K convenience store at 2901 Hwy. 90 in Westlake.  During the investigation deputies learned a white male robbed the clerk at gunpoint then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man was wearing blue bandanas on his face to conceal his identity.  After reviewing the store surveillance, detectives determined he was wearing a brown t-shirt with the following words on the front:

            IF WE GET CAUGHT
            IT'S ALL
            YOUR FAULT

Anyone with information regarding the armed robbery or knows of someone who wears a t-shirt fitting this description is asked to call Crimestoppers at 439-2222 or CPSO Detective Jason Gertz at 491-3724.

The Saharan dust is still around and is expected to be in a "unhealthy for sensitive groups" today. If you have breathing problems, or asthma, make sure to use caution if you spend any time outdoors. There will also be very warm temperatures, reaching the mid 90s. There will not be any rain to cool these temperatures down. It will likely feel like the triple digits, getting as high as 107 degrees. It will take time for the temperatures to cool down with no rain.
