LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - MSU's offense was unable to capitalize on a couple of bases loaded situations late in the game.  As a result, the Pokes lost to the UL-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns, 5-2.

The Cowboys had the bases loaded in the eighth and ninth innings, and only was able to score one run in those situations.

Jordan Venable had a good offensive game for MSU.  He went 2-2 with one RBI.

The Cajuns scored all five of their runs in the second and third innings, but McNeese's offense could not recover.

Now the Pokes will go on the road for their next series.  They will play the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks from April 23rd through the 25th.
