LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - It may have felt like a long time for Astros fans.

But even if it didn't, it's over now.

After starting out the season 0-8, the Houston Astros have won their first game of 2010.  They defeated the St. Louis Cardinals, 5-1.  Houston still dropped two out of three in St. Louis.

Jeff Keppinger led the way for the 'Stros.  He went 2-4, with three RBI's and a run scored.  Michael Bourn also had a solid game, going 2-4 with two runs scored.

Maybe the big story was the performance of starter Bud Norris.  He went five innings, giving up one unearned run on four hits, while striking out nine.

Next up for Houston is a three-game series in Chicago against the Cubs.  That series will run from April 16th through the 18th.
