Allen Parish escapee back in custody

The following is a news release from the Allen Parish Sheriff's Office:

Courtney Hobson was taken into custody after escaping from the Allen Parish Jail last week. He was booked with escape charges.

On Tuesday April 13, 2010, Allen Parish Detectives received information that Hobson could be found at a residence in Rapides Parish.

Allen Parish Detectives contacted the Rapides Sheriff Department alone with United States Marshall Service. Agents proceeded to a residence located in Elmer, Louisiana.

Upon arrival agents observed Hobson in the yard at which time he was taken into custody without incident.

Rapides Sheriff Agents also arrested Hobson's girlfriend, Shardelle Kirklin 32 years of age, also from Oakdale, charging Kirklin with obstruction of Justice.

Allen Parish took immediate custody of Hobson while Kirklin was taken into custody by Rapides Parish.

The investigation into the escape continues.

Additional charges are possible as the investigation progresses.
