Chenault KC-10 Project

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The KC-10 airplanes are the big planes that refuel military aircraft in mid-air.  They are brought to Chennault for maintenance and repairs.  The Chennault Executive Committee wants to build a new 112 thousand foot hanger to house the planes.  Currently their are four kc-10 airplanes in Lake Charles.

Executive Director Randy Robb says funding for the project came from a federal grant, and that the committee wants to get the equipment to for the planes as soon as possible.

Chennault Officials plan to break ground by September.
