Rouston Writer's Body Found

RUSTON, La. (AP) - A forensic pathologist reports that a heart attack killed a Ruston writer whose body was found in a remote pasture about two weeks after she was reported missing.

Lincoln Parish Sheriff Mike Stone tells the Ruston Daily Leader that the report by Frank Peretti of Little Rock ends the investigation into the death of 62-year-old Mary Margaret Storey.

Her brother reported her missing Feb. 8, a day after she had last been seen alive.

A Lincoln Parish landowner called Ruston police Feb. 23 to report that her car was on pastureland north of Vienna.

Police found her body about 150 yards from the car.

She wrote for Delta Style magazine and was a former reporter with the Ruston Daily Leader.
